She could swing a golf club or
whip up a soufflé
And her giving spirit would
light up your day
She was cheerful, helpful and
had a big heart
In all of our lives she played
a big part
Her joy was endless, life was
a blast
She concentrated on the future
And not on the past
So much has happened in her 80
years
Oceans of happiness, gallons
of tears
Sharing, caring, loving and
warm
Always going from dusk to dawn
With a twinkle in her eyes
She faced life’s surprises
Planning picnic, volunteering
Playing bridge, watching
sunrises
She might go picking
wildflowers
Or ride a merry-go-round
She was so full of spirit and
ginger
The pure joy of life she found
We were all enriched because
we knew her
She was not only a friend but
a go-er and do-er
We will remember her voice,
her wit & face
And savor the memories time
can’t erase
She counted her age by
friends, not by years
And lived her life by smiles,
not by tears
If wealth were determined by
number of friends
Barbara’s riches would have no
end
We feel sad for ourselves, of
course
For it is a tremendous loss
And I know she’ll be
very much missed
Especially by her favorite
store, Ross
She was the North, Sought,
West and East
Her zest for living never
ceased
Now heaven has a new star
shining
Next to the cloud with the
silver lining
Her halo is polished-it’s
shiny and bright
Her wings have been fluffed
and sparkling white
And her cloud is puffy and
soft as fur
She deserves the best because
we love her so
God gave us Barbara only on
loan
Now he’s taken her back to her
permanent home
She’s now safe and secure in
hear above
Still spreading happiness, joy and love.
